Dublin, Ireland

taken too soon

where do you lie if you die restless?

your neck squeezed of life by callused hands

when teeth and nails tell small stories

with the rest in the mouths of close-lipped men

what secrets can be revealed here?

what more do you know

of the violent acts done to innocent schoolgirls

and lone wonderers

in the dark paths we cannot follow

woodlands and dogwalkers are your confidantes

gut feelings outweigh court proceedings

the beaming picture gathers dust on the mantlepiece

where do you lie if you are deathless?
